The lightning (I guess is natural) suggest optimism. If the model were using a branded watch, this will suit perfectly for a commercial advertise. So, my opinion is your concept is simple but very effective though not so original (as I said, looks like an watch advertise), I guess your technique is basically take care of the light and focus and the impact is positive, the mood is clear and positive: waiting (patiently) for something, that gonna come for sure.
